WOTR girls can practice with Team USA as part of Holiday Championships

LOVELAND, COLO. — All girls who register for the War of the Roses Holiday Championship tournament on Dec. 13 also will have a chance to practice with the United States women’s national team at the Olympic Training Center.

Girls also will be able to participate in a satellite weigh-in at the Olympic Training Center.

There is a $15 cost payable on site for the clinic and each girl will get a commemorative photo ID badge and lanyard.

Participants will need to be at the athlete center front desk in Colorado Springs by 8 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12.

From 9 to 10 a.m., participants will be able to observe the women’s national team practice.

Weigh-ins will take place at 10 a.m.

The War of the Roses participants will then practice in a mini-clinic and meet resident Olympic wrestlers at 11 a.m.

The event will conclude with a tour of the Olympic Training Center.

In order to attend the clinic, tour and satellite weigh-ins, girls must be preregistered by Dec. 6. Girls must register for the tournament by 11:59 p.m., CST on Dec. 6 in order to be eligible for the trip to the Olympic Training Center on Dec. 12 in Colorado Springs. Register for the tournament opens Sunday, Nov. 29.
